American Debt Control Has Another “Mission”
American Debt Control’s purpose for being in business is to help people get out of debt and take back control of their lives. We see some pretty bad things happen, but for most, there nearly always is a way out.

Many of us have gotten so accustomed to hearing news accounts talk about “the homeless” that we accept the situation as a given. The people who are the subjects of those news stories often have a different perspective, however.
They are real people with real needs and desires to better themselves. We want to help them, too, so the Union Gospel Mission has become part of the mission of American Debt Control.

“It is easy to dodge our responsibilities, but we cannot dodge the consequences of dodging our responsibilities.”
Sir Josiah Stamp, 20th Century British industrialist
Personal responsibility is the key to this quote. I believe Mr. Stamp was saying we can kid ourselves for awhile, but the problems we duck today will come back tomorrow, and we still have to deal with them.
No finger Pointing!
We see that all too often in our business. When people don’t get the debt settlement results they hoped for, some look everywhere but in the mirror for a solution. It always upsets us when someone doesn’t succeed, but it’s even worse when they point fingers at others – sometimes at us – when they need to accept some personal responsibility.

Anytime a new blog appears, people must wonder why the author ever would enter such a crowded space. Thousands of new blogs begin – and end – every day, so how can a new one ever hope to attract an audience?
Well, the great thing about blogs is they are intended for people who want to read the kind of thoughts the author presents. So, I’m writing this for you, not the world.
It’s About People
I will write about work, but a lot of other things, too. You see, our business at American Debt Control is people.
We keep track of how we’re doing with numbers, but our work is all about helping people solve big problems and get on with their lives.
Because this is for you, I’d really like to get your input. I encourage you to add your thoughts in the comments section. I intend to publish comments that disagree with my positions, as well as those that agree.
We will screen out the ones with foul or abusive language, but I expect most people to be constru...
